Fiance’s Ideas for the living room furniture

Day 1 Introduction Likes, Dislikes and Basic Needs!

The Things I like. I am kind of awkward for my likings since I’m more into cultures and exotic trinkets. However my fiance, is more into the country appeal, but she can not stand “distressed furniture” Cultures wise I’m into the Germanic themes since I grew up in Germany and I am heavily influenced by Asian design. My fiance on the other hand is into furniture that is snuggly and comforting, something you can just come home to and flop on.

The Dislikes. We both dislike anything that has to do with abstract design, or anything that appears to be mangled and thrown together. Personal dislikes for me also include too much modern though some modern is acceptable, if done right. Culture wise dislikes for me, include Italian themes specifically for the kitchen since its a bit cliche, and the country animals designs for the same reason. I do not like likeĀ  the contemporary American style as well. As for my fiance, she dislikes super modern, sharp designs or minimalistic features.

Basic Needs! We already have some decorations either stuff we have bought and stuff we have been given to for example birthday or Christmas presents with elements that we would like to use in our design which is currently being housed in a cluttered appeal called our bedrooms. Trinkets for me include Asian statues, Plushie anime characters, old action figures, swords, china and dishes from my grand mother. Likewise my fiance has, eclectic lamps, collection of glass bottles, and Broadway memorabilia.

We both however have a lot of arts and craft supplies, especially yarn, paper, portfolios, felt, stamp booking and scrap booking, and a multitude of other mediums for art work which we have to include a idea for in our storage problems. Other potential storage problems include Dvds CDs and completed art works.
